At level 2 traders you don't actually have great access to good ammo, so if you are planning on budgeting I would look at the two russian cartridges 7.62x39 and 5.45x39. For 7.62 you get PS which is decent up to level 4 body armor, absolutely smacks in terms of damage, and can be shot on the AKM, AK103, AK104 and SKS.
MP5 with pst gzh to the eye, MPX with PSO to the leg, UMP with match fmj to the head or stomach, Saiga with 6.5 Express to the eye, Revolver with superformance slug to the leg, there's a few options but honestly rifles aren't it, IMO. Rifles enter play when you get ammo where the increase in recoil and price is actually worth the increase in pen.But the sheer versatility of 5.45 AK is amazing. Then when you unlock the archangel stock for reg 74 you are pretty much dangerous between 25-300 meters. Great speed, great pen, great price. I love 5.45. UMP though is a gun that has the fire rate of a 5.45 AK but the range of a .45 SMG. UMP 45 Suppressor. Suggestion. Are there any plans to add a suppressor to the UMP, it's capable of taking one obviously. Would make the gun not only a early game budget weapon but also give it a use later into the wipe (obviously still outclassed by many other guns and the vector).
